Siena were formed in 1904 and gained top flight status in 2003 after last playing in Serie A in 1946. The club had the late president Paolo De Luca, who took over the club in 2001, to thank for their promotion.
Torino
Despite a recent stay in Serie B, extended by financial problems that denied them promotion in the summer of 2005, the Granata are amongst Italy’s most celebrated clubs.
Udinese
Udinese were formed in 1896 as a gymnastics and fencing club with a small section dedicated to football. Associazione Calcio Udinese was born in 1923 and first tasted Serie A in 1950.

Numancia
This club is named after the ancient Celtiberian town of Numantia near present-day Soria. Numancia were founded on April 9, 1945.
Osasuna
Osasuna were a result of the union between Sportiva and New Club in 1920. Benjamin Andoian Martinez was the one who chose “Osasuna” as the name of the new club, a Basque word which means health, cheers, and vitality.
Racing Santander
Racing Santander were founded in 1913 and during the period of Francoist Spain, it was renamed as Real Santander in 1941. The name was restored in 1977.

Real Club Recreativo de Huelva were formed on December 23, 1889 making them the oldest football team in Spain. The club was formed by Dr Alexander Mackay and overseas British workers at the Rio Tinto mines.
Sevilla
Sevilla are perhaps the biggest threat to the La Liga dominance of Real Madrid and Barca. They are also a club that's owned by the fans, with the stocks distributed across a few major holders and a large base of fans.

Villarreal
The Yellow Submarine were founded on 10th March 1923, “in order to promote all sports, and specifically football”, as was specified in its founding letter. Villarreal are nicknamed El Submarino Amarillo (the Yellow Submarine) because of their yellow strip.
